I am starting a new series of blogs to help those who are in Grade 12 this year and who need to start planning for the examinations at the end of this year.
The blogs will consist of a range of supporting materials, and will largely focus on worked problems, but will also delve in the background information required to understand the various topics.
It is my experience that many learners often understand the more advanced topics, but they fall down on some of the background, mostly easier, work which had been covered in the early grades.
The materials will be provided here in mathematics.co.za, with video support on YouTube, and also additional video materials and coursework which is available at a small charge for those who want a more comprehensive course.
The first section I am addressing “Sequences and Series” which is a very important topic for advanced mathematics, and which is an essential component of Calculus. The focus in the Grade 12 curriculum is on understand the basics of numerical sequences and series, limited to specific cases such as arithmetic, geometric, and similar sequences.
Following from this I will be addressing algebra, geometry, analytical geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and other topics within the examination.
Please register your name on this web site, and from this I plan to provide email notifications for new content.
