The history of mathematics is outlined from two perspectives.
The first perspective is through the mathematicians who have contributed to the development of mathematics through the ages, such as (Pythagoras, Euclid, Archimedes, Fibonacci, Newton, Descartes, and many others).
The second perspective examines the development of the most important ideas in mathematics, such as the origination of the digits we use 0, 1, 2, … 9; where arithmetic comes from; how the digit zero came into widespread use; and the development geometry, algebra, and the calculus.
